The writer DB Gurung is our NIAP Nepali literature technical advisor, and a key member of the NIAP team; through the programme realising his passion to bring to the English-speaking world a better awareness of Nepali contemporary literature and the inclusive and social justice values it extols. He is an internationally renowned and greatly respected member of the Nepali Gurkha community, as well as being a poet and musician.
DB has an international reputation for his incisive and passionate novels and other forms of literature that provide to the English-speaking world an insight into the socio-political issues, challenges and strengths of contemporary Nepal, encapsulated in particular in his seminal work Breaking Twilight, a best seller in India. DB is also a journalist and lecturer on contemporary Nepali literature.
