Kumar Shrestha is one of the most promising writers and editors in English that Nepal can boast of, being one of the very few to have had work published in the West.
First published in Nepal in 2007, the American edition of Shrestha’s debut collection of short stories entitled Lonely Hearts was brought out by Mount Rogers Books LLC, USA (2012). His other works include East Meet West, Brothers in Arms and Widow of the War, all of which are lined up for publication by Mount Rogers Books LLC. By profession, he is a member of the Editorial Board at the Secretariat of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and regularly edits SAARC NEWS, an official newsletter of SAARC, besides a number of official publications of the SAARC Secretariat. He holds an MBA and M. Phil. in English. Of late, he has ventured into songwriting in Nepali.
