The Nepal International Arts Programme [NIAP] is a UK – Nepal bicentenary legacy project initiated by the UK Nepal Friendship Society. It comprises a unique thematic ‘one-stop’ online information resource that will be growing in content on a continuing basis. The NIAP seeks to celebrate the genius of Nepal’s creative community – from village and rural districts crafts experts to world renowned musicians, writers and visual artists – and to share this with a range of audiences in the UK, including youth and arts and educational groups and institutes.
It also seeks to profile the important theme of interest in equality, inclusion, and social justice empowerment through the arts, that runs throughout Nepal’s creative community: this to educate on and inform English speaking audiences in the UK and West concerning these topics so dear to the hearts of many artists and arts groups and organisations.
We hope you will enjoy the resources, articles, images and video links contained on our website. You can also contact us if you are an educational or arts organisation interested in our work, and would like to partner with us and/or participate in our related educational programmes.
